Ok since this is a "gay" matter I'd like your opinion. My mate Shay was kicked out of his house by his mum and dad last week because he was in a fight with them. He never told me what the fight was over but he told me the other day it was to due with the fact he came out as being gay. We all knew he was gay for about a year and it didn't bother us because lets face it it isn't as if he had changed or anything you know. But his mum and dad are "over the top" with their christian beliefs and they said they where "ashamed". I think that's pathetic. This is their son and they treat him like s h it? He was staying with us for a few days now he's in his uncles. Why do parents be like this? It's pathetic in my view. You can't change who you are right?

That is pretty messed up. Your friend will be OK with people like you to support him. Coming out is something many homosexual people fear (myself included), but it's so much easier if you know there are people you can trust to not turn on you or hate you for how you feel. Good luck to your friend, tell him to hang in there.

No idea why, parents take it too personally and always forget the fact that it takes 2 straights to make a gay. It's a real shame for your friend but hey with a good mate like you at least he knows he's not completely alone in this world. Stick by him and remember if ever your own child is gay, love them even more, you'll never get a more loyal son/daughter than one who is excepted.

right. his parents overreacted, they should love him for who he is, not for his sexuality.
