That implies that the people at Yahoo can spell and know the meanings of words.

Yes, and most days I would win it (although I am fond of starting sentences with 'and'.) It bothers me a little when people can't spell when there's a spell checker so close, although I figure most misspellings are actually typos.

Normally, I try to stay away from "should"s, but ABSOLUTELY! There SHOULD be a perfect spelling badge!!!! Where do I sign the petition?

that would be sweet. Don't forget though that the people who can't spell are usually the confused ones that ask the questions in the first place, because they don't know how to use the Internet to research anything. If it wasn't for them i would have nothing to laugh at.

Oooooh! Let's grade on punctuation, too. You SHOULD have put a question mark after "spell" in your question, so 20 points off for you.

Let's give people tests! Yes! You can actually FLUNK YAHOO now! I wanna get the Sisters in here with their rulers to rap the typing hands of people who don't do it right! Can we appoint a hall monitor? Raise your hand if you think you need to go to the bathroom!

In other words, no.

I can get the meaning 100% of the time w/o spell check just like you but I don't make a issue out of it.
