When I start up my laptop (3 months old) there is a message saying:
"NLTDR is missing pres ctrl+alt+del to restart"
This has never appeared before. Does anyone have an idea what of what may be wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Stick your Windows CD in the CD Drive and then reboot the PC.
The CD will boot up and you should be prompted to select a "repair" install or a "complete" install.
Select the repair install and follow the onscreen prompts.

This should do it.

Worst case is repeat the above steps but select the "complete" install option. This will blow away everything on your hard drive by reformatting the HD and then will do a fresh install of Windows.

Hope this helps.

NTLDR is the file that tells your computer where to find the windows start-up files. With out that file you can not start your computer.

You will most likely have to use your recover disks to re-install windows. Some recovery disks have a repair feature which may work but most times you will have to re-install windows.
