Every year when its warm these little basturds get on my nerves running by me feet when I come home. What can I use? The same thing people use for snakes?

as long as you don't mind your sidewalk and other areas covered in insect that the lizards are eating. you can put moth balls along the edge of your side walk and the smell of ammonia will usually keep any animal away except insects. this works with snakes snails and slugs. but be prepaired for the grass 2 inches around each moth ball to be dead. and this must be repeated after every other rain.

I really only had two words for you when I read the question. And it still boils down to two words.....

Good luck.

I have to agree with the above post, without devastating the ecology of your yard, there's no hope. The stuff they sell that "repels" snakes *chuckles* only works until it rains a few times anyway. So basically, here's your option....

Buy so much insecticide that nothing is left crawling in your yard. This should be enough to get rid of all the lizards or at least cause them enough reproductive harm that they can't produce any more lizards. But keep in mind, this will also impact the health of your local birds and other wildlife, perhaps even your own health. Are you worried about stepping on them? Is that how they're getting on your nerves? Well, don't worry, you can't step on them, they're usually a little faster than that.

You can always go for natural solutions as well. Cats do like to chase lizards... usually... some don't though... some just chase them and let them go.... others kill them and leave them on your doorstep for you to crunch underfoot in the morning... others eat them. You can assure you have a decent population of snakes in your yard, but if the lizards are too much for you, you won't want a snake around...

Chickens and turkeys will eat lizards... some songbirds will eat lizards... other lizards will eat lizards... some dogs will get lizards for you... there's all kinds of things that will eat lizards. Will they be able to get rid of all of them? Doubtful.

But I do have one more suggestion. Sit outside one day when it's nice and warm with a pair of binoculars... watch the lizards... there's battles over females and territory... there's stalking and hunting... (I've watch lizards catch flies and wasps and all kinds of cool things)... there's jealousy and intrigue... who needs t.v. when you've got lizards in the yard?

Do Mothballs Keep Lizards Away

how are they getting on your nerves? honestly do they pose that much of a threat? they were there thousands of years before you were. just leave them alone. if you don't like it, move. sadly you chose a climate to live in that has these wonderful little pest controllers as an indigenous species, and you seem to think these are just something to get rid of. they do more than run around on your pathway. they are eating the insects and or (im not sure of the species your reffering to) the small animals that if you did poison the surrounding area to get rid of these lizards you will be coming here and asking how to get rid of these when mice and bugs start infesting your house. they also are food for many different animals-remove them- you leave a devastating impact on your neighborhoods wildlife. look at everything like its a gigantic picture-a dead lizard cant breed, correct? that means by killing just 1 lizard you kill hundreds of thousands that would have been his/her descendants descendants and the untold number of insects and pests that they themselves would be allowed to breed and thus spread their species, so on and so fourth.they were there first-live with it. or move. were you the 1 that asked what dog is a natural predator of lizards?if anything you should be thankful their little green butts are on your pathway.there doin a great of a job for you
