This is a very difficult and extremely subjective question. The rap side is easy: Missy Elliot. As far as singers is concerned, I would've easily said Whitney Houston, seven years ago, but with all of her troubles and the fact that she hasn't produced any relevant product in around a decade; when I think of who has the best chops, the most talent, the range, and the greatest future, it's Christina Agullera. She does soul, r&b, hip-hop and jazz. Though I love Chaka Khan, Cassandra Wilson, Marya Carrie, Barbara Streisand, Patti Labelle & the great, Katheen Battle, Agullera has the whole package. Did you see her do 'It's A Man's World' on the Grammy's in the James Brown tribute? I'll tell ya there aren't too many women alive who could've pulled that one off.
