In cannibal country, they accumulate a bunch of "skinny elbows" , strip them from the carcass, then throw them in the big pot for careful cooking.

(I know this is an absurd answer, but I'm in a flippant mood, and hungry for points.)

Rolled dough, dried and baked, bent in shape right before they bake it.
It's hollow because of how they shape it .
