the green light goes out every know and again but it comes back on it is the same symbol as the brights but it is green, alot of people tell me it daytime running lights but it never come on before. and i dont have an owners manual so i cant look it up. well i dont know what it could be if u can help thanks

its not a short i just wanna know what the light is for and what it means i bought a new battery and stuff cause i put a system in it and my alternator is going i think so yea i just wanna know what it means

no matter what i turn off or on the light stays on and could it be on due to a bad ulternator

It's probably the fog light lamp. You will have an extra position on your head light selector for fog lamps, even if they are not installed. Sometimes you pull the switch to activate them.
The fog lights will only come on if the headlights are on, then it will automatically turn them off when you turn the headlamps off.

manually turn your headlights on if the green light goes off it is the daytime running lights. My wifes cavalier has that same light stay on until she turned on her lights at night then it goes off

most vauxhalls have an indicator light for dipped beam it looks like the symbol for full beam but its green, if its on when the light are off it could be an earth problem behind the light panel
