How can they punish someone without the guilt being established?

That was the whole controversy all about. The protest was against this injustice only. If even the Chief Justice is a victim of injustice how can the people expect justice.

Military dictator Musharraf wants absolute powers and intend on making parliament and judiciary subservient to him to let his handpicked puppet Shaukat Aziz (Former Citibank exec specialising in money laundering and securities fraud in mid east) sell profitable national assets to his middle eastern sheikhhs for a song and referral business for getting additional loans for Governmen to his Citi bank.so any check & balance on his absolute powers had to be crushed by suspending a recalcitrant chief justice. Musharraf already is making a fool of the west by posing as a fake partner for his war on terror and ruthlessly violating human rights and damaging institutions in pakistan .
