Going to Las Vegas and would like to see how close is Cali and what part and is there a good shopping district

I like Flea markets, great shoe deals I want to experince the deals people experince going towards the west coast

The actual Nevada/California Border-Stateline-is probably only about 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. However, some of the best deals ro be had are now in Las Vegas. There is a great outlet mall at Primm, Nevada-about 20 minutes from the Strip going towards California. There is also one much closer to the Strip but I cna't think of the name. If you're determined to get to California, there is another outlet mall in Barstow-about halfway between Vegas & LA. As far as LA fle markets go-the Rose Bowl Flea Market is the best, but only held on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Happy Shopping!

Shoe fetish?

Cali is only about a 30 minute drive away, however the nearest Cali outlets are in Barstow about a 2 hour drive from Vegas. That being said, you won't find anything there you won't find at the outlets in Vegas, in fact probably less. You are much better off shopping in Las Vegas.

You won't find anything in a westcoast flea market except junk, for sure nothing you want to put on your feet. Flea markets are not a big deal on the west coast.. You would have to come all the way to Los Angeles (about 4 hours by drive) to even find a decent flea market. It's not a "side trip" if you are in Las Vegas.

to actually get to any REAL city in California you are going to have to travel 3 solid hours. I wouldn't bother trying to figure out ways to get into good shopping districs there i mean it is going to be 3 hours if you want to and by the time you get to a flea market all the deals are going to be gone. you can find great shoe deals in Vegas on sale c'mon now!

If you want to find some great deals i have a better idea for you. Travel to Laughlin. It is only an hour away off the 15 towards Arizona. It is right on the river. Just ask any casino you stay in and they will show you on a map. It is real simple to get to and it is also a gambling town a smaller version of Vegas. I will give you some links. It is my favorite place on Earth and you will adore it! If you go to the Riverside Resort and Casino, inside you will find some shops like the watch shop as well as other little stores that very good items at good prices. Across the street from the casinos on the river there is a mall that has VERY GOOD SHOPPING!

I lived in L.A. and i loved to shop there and in Laughlin!!

p.s. you won't be missing a thing by not going into Cali...except bunch of rude people who will pay no attention to you!
