I find myself defending my music all the time.
To my kids. Well, my oldest daughter. It cracks me up when she'll want me to listen to this really cool song....and she'll play it for me....and it'll be a remix of something from the '80s...and when I try to tell her that, even force her to listen to the ORIGINAL version.....she'll cut on it so bad....Grrrrrr! I hate that!
But...what can I do? She does have her own tastes, you're right.....I try realllly hard to not cut on her music....so she needs to quit cutting on mine!!!

No I can never be bothered. People who slag off other peoples music tastes are generally sad people who follow fashion. For example at my school when I was young I loved trance and house music. And everyone told me it was crap till it became popular and then they were really into it all of a sudden. Don't waste your energy defending what you know is good. It's a waste of time and energy.

I don't defend my music, and I don't expect anyone else to. Music is a personal taste.

No. I would rather spend my time listening to the music. People pretty much determine what like and do not like and stick with that even if they are wrong.
