Vulnerability: Good or bad?

I guess I should have elaborated. Appearance of vulnerability. You know, looking shy for example. Good or bad?

I think it can be both
Bad: You can be taken advantage of if you are vulnerable and someone with ill will uses it against you... you can end up doing something you really regret
Good: Being vulnerable can allow you to connect emotionally with someone (express/share emotions)
Bad: Vulnerability usually involves very raw emotions which people can get very caught up in and some label themselves to forever be "the victim"
Good: Showing your vulnerable side can help others to feel comfortable expressing their emotions when usually they wouldn't

It is best to be invincible when you first meet people. When you are more intimate, you can show your vulnerabilities, and will sometimes seem more 'real' because of it. But too vulnerable is either a bulls-eye for bad people, or a bunch of problems to get past.

It depends on the situation, for example looking shy while meeting someone for a date is considered endearing,However looking shy or timid in a park is considered a weakness to the criminal that's gonna rob you

Do you really think it's either 'good' or 'bad'? Guess what? NOTHING is entirely and always either 'good' or 'bad'. Why? Because those words are value judgements that vary from case to case and moment to moment. You're looking for absolutes in a world that has none.
