I think it is something good to do for someone. I think it has to take a strong person to go through 9 months, labor then hand the baby over even though it wasn't yours by blood, still would be hard but then i also think about the money involved, some just do it for that but either way it is a good thing.

I am a surrogate mother and I have been in the surro world for over 2 years now. I have never come across a person who thinks bad of me for who I am and what I do. If you are interested in being a surrogate mother I think that you need to educate yourself on the process a little better. Join forums where surro moms and Intended parents all chat and ask questions on the whole precess. You will learn a lot. When you are ready to become a surrogate I suggest you do your first with an agency who will hold your hand through the whole process and do most of the work for you. All you will have to do is carry the baby. If you are interested in an agency Shoot me an email and I will refer you to a GREAT one that I work with!!
Good luck!

Surrogate mothers are a God send to couples who can't have a baby on their own. I think it is a great idea. Just be honest with people. If they are put off by your answer then so what. Dont worry about what others think. Which I don't understand why anyone would say something negative about what you are doing. It is one of the greatest thing you could ever do for someone.

I think its a nice sweet idea. I was actually thinking about being one for my step aunt who cant have kids and cant adopt for a horrible reason. I doubt i will do it but hey i think its a nice idea. I heard you get paid well too, so the weight gain and all the sickness and birth is well worth it. Plus the look on these peoples faces will be worth it. Beware that you might become attatched to this child though. So make sure thats not something that will happen.

you never know. i think begin a surrogate mother is a very selfless act. it takes a lot of caring to carry a child that is someones else's and to then have the baby taken away from you after that long. however, i'm sure that there are people out there who would be judgmental.

have you had a baby yourself bc it is a great thing but after being pregnant and carrying each of my sons and seeing their personality from the begining from right inside the womb i know i could never give up the child if you can do it thats great i would think you are crazy bc thats somthing i could never do ps you should read alot of the questions on here as well some people have wonderful pregnancies and some people have horrible pregnancies which are worth while because they wind up with a child some people are sick the whole time me myself i can admit i get super bitchy and my hubby loves me and loves the fact that we are having a baby so its alrite but if i was being a surrograte he would have been outta here a long time ago bc i do turn into a SUPER biotch it can mess up your relationship badly

I think they are AMAZING ! And i think your part Angel for even thinking about it. To be able to help someone who cant, bring life into this world.... Truely.. What is a better gift ?

I would just be honest with people. If for some crazy reason they don't view you the same that I do, just know... Some people don't have the maturity it takes to understand the amazing gift your giving someone else.

i think it is great that you want to become one. I wouldn't worry about people asking questions...just answer honestly. i can't think of anyone who would think what you are doing is bad. Most people will just ask how far you are or what you are having so you don't have tell them that its not really your baby. I wish you the best of luck.

I think it is none of their business. I feel it is a nobel thing to do for some couple who otherwise cannot have a child, but I fear you will get some negative comments. You would need those closest to you to be supportive, the rest do not count anyway!

I think it's wonderful. Why wouldn't you tell them about the baby? What you are thinking of doing, is a selfless, beautiful, and kind thing. I'd tell them the truth. You should be proud.
