I just have no idea if my betta is eating or not. I do notice the food going to the bottom of the tank. The instructions say to feed the betta 2 times a day 6 little pellets each meal , the pellets are supposed to float but they always go to the bottom, I have some gravel and toys at the bottom so it's hard to see what's happening with the food. How do you know if your fish is eating?.

Thats tough! Does your fish seem to swim slower and not as active? Does it seem to kind of stay in one place before swimming again and then continue the process? If so I think its not eating regularly. For more accurate info, check with your vet. Good Luck!

The only thing I can say is if it doesn't die, then it is eating, if it does, well then it wasn't. But most likely it is eating, because fish eat a lot.
