I am anxious to get out and work in the yard but the things I want to put out say wait until after the last frost of the season.

I'm in STL too. Usually mid April is safe, but you can't be too sure. Keep an eye on the forecasts and cover the tender stuff whenever Kent Erhart says 30's for lows.

You can work anytime you just can plant tender plants until after frost.
Your frost date should be around May 15th

It really sucks when you just put out all of your plants and then it freezes,doesn't it?
