It depends what course/subjects your doing there

I have many happy memories of my time at Birmingham and would recommend it. Think about where you live and journey time home. You need to be far enough away to not have to live at home and near enough to come back if you want to, without it costing the earth. Also some uni's have great reputation for some subjects and not so hot for others. Get advice on quality of the course etc.

You will have fun where ever you go. In my day Sheffield did not have a great reputation - but things may have changed.

Good luck

Manchester

They're all much of a muchness, so I'd be inclined to pick it for the course, rather than the uni. But if I had to choose out of any, definitely I would choose Manchester as it's such a fab city and I know 4 people who went there and had the time of their lives!

sheffield, lovely people great union, safe town but manchester has an amazing town as well as union but think you may be aware of the problem with crime, birmingham is predominatly asian, so not representive of the uk- you might not mind that? dont know about leeds but all depends on where is best for your subject
