i had a miscarridge in september and have been trying for a baby again for the last 3 months,
i have missed a period and done 2 home pregnancy tests which both showed up 2 lines the test line was there but it was fainter then the control line does this mean i am pregnant??
i have booked an appointment with my doctor for tommorrow morning and i will do another test in the morning before i go
there where 2 lines even though one was faint is this still a positive result?

Hi, I had a miscarriage in November of last year adn I never got a period. I am now 15 weeks pregnant. Like you, I did several tests adn there was nothing for a while. Then I got a hpt and it showed up a faint line. I went to the doc on 2 occassions and again they were faint adn I was told I was probably not pregnant. So the third time I went, it was as clear as anything. So I believe that you are but I dont want to get your hopes up as I am not medically trained. If the doc says its neg, try and keep testing if you dont get a period. Good luck adn I hope against all hope that you are pregnant!

Being that your miscarriage was far enough back that it shouldn't affect a pregnancy test, regardless of the faintness a positive is a positive, you have to have a specific hormones present in your urine to make that line come up. It being faint just means the hormone is still fairly low, a week from now it would probably come out quite dark. Good Luck and Congratulations, I hope this pregnancy goes well!

Yes it certainly sounds like it - early in pregnancy the lines are faint, as the pregnancy progresses more and more of the hcG hormone detected in home kits is produced in your pee.
Many many congratulations to you!!!
P.S. if you want to, get a clearblue digital test and do it in the morning - it comes up with a message which says either 'pregnant' or 'not pregnant' - which is pretty thrilling compared with looking for a line! :-)

Even if the test line is paler than the control line it means it has detected some of the pregnancy hormone in your urine which means you're pregnant. but if you want to be absolutely certain, get one of those digital pregnancy tests that just says "pregnant" or "not pregnant" that's what I did and it was far more exciting than trying to figure out what the lines mean.
Congratulations!

if a pregnacy test says your pregnant, you probably are, no matter how faint your line is. Maybe you didn't put enough urine on the stick. Its a really good thing that you made a doctors appointment b/c your doctor will be most helpful. Their tests are better than ours. By the way, CONGRATS!!

I see you have it answered, but I got a very very faint line on a home test and I now have a handsome, healthy 7.5 month old boy.
A line is a line, no matter how faint or dark!
Congrats!!

YOU ARE PREGNANT!!! Two lines are two lines!!! Congratulations! Also, the reason the second line is faint is because it's early. It would be darker if you tested again a week from now.

yes more than likely. the test line usually isn't as dark as the control widow line and you may be only a couple of weeks pregnant, therefor not producing a large amount of hormones yet. but i would say there is a very good chance you are pregnant.
