My pet rabbit (Shadow) just started biting my 13 yr. old daughter. She does not bite my husband or I, just her. Shadow is normally a very laid back bunny. She is in-doors, liter trained, and just an all around great pet. Her and I are very attached, she was sickly when I bought her so I have basically become mom. She is 3 yrs. and gets a little territorial over me. Ex., my husband wants to lay next to me on the couch and shadow will push him away. But my daughter does not have to be any where near me. My daughter is not abusive to her in any way. I saw it happen once and she was just petting her when she bit her and drew blood. I tried petting her in the same spot to see if maybe she had an injury or something, and nothing, she just licked me.
Just wondering if anyone has experience this before and what they did.
Thank you.

Bunnies like cats are very jealous animals when they see others getting your attention. I think its best to have the bunny on one side of you and your little girl on the other side of you when watching tv. Pet the bunny and hold the girl. At least the bunny wont have to be too jealous. Also be there when your little girl pats the bunny . The bunny has you for a mom and gets jealous it happens. It happened to my bunnies once i had two of them they can get very territorial and jealous at times.

Mine used to kick and flip over her kitty litter tray when she was pissed. I had to put a heavy rock in it! Theyre just like kids and they can throw tantrums.
