Desperate for ideas on an ancient history project!?

I have a summative worth 30% of my mark soon. It can be anything to do with Ancient history.. i was wondering if anyone had any creative ideas they could share with me. It would be much appreciated. Ps. I am a grade 11 student.

Hmmm, what is in the media right now?
That movie "300" just came out, you could write about the real story behind the Persian/Greek conflict. I also read that an ancient statue of Hera was just unearthed and that it was the first of its kind.
I like to use current events to highlight the importance of ancient history--that its still of interest to us today.

How about doing something related to the Olympics? What was the first Olympics like? There will be all kinds of creative things you can do. Even have your friends participate in a reenactment wearing togas. What were the first events and who thought of having such an event. Where were they held and why did they continue?

Write a paper about some of the scientific inventions of the Romans and how those inventions contributed to making the Roman Empire so powerful.

try researching the history of the Jews in the times of the Romans or Greeks. there are loads of this on the internet and i got some pretty good grades on this topic.

Imangine you're allowed to go back in time and spend a day with someone in history. Write what do you eat, wear, do, and see. Maybe that someone could be Cleopatra, Elizabeth I, Julius Caeser, or someone like that.

Do something you are interested in. Make something representative of that time, write a play or song, make a poster or powerpoint or interactive bulletin board.
