Hi I live on the outskirts of manchester (near Bolton) and i love scouting around large carboot sales on sundays. Does anyone know of good places to go as the ones in Bolton are rubbish and not that big. I have a car so can travel a certain distance, Thanks

There is one at the Clitheroe beast market Sundays and possibly Wednesday evening's, There is also one in Manchester near Stamford or so i'm told, Happy bargain hunting.

It might be a little bit out of way for you, but you said you drive so perhaps it isn't such a bad distance. It's the Chelford Carboot sale but not the Chelford Farm Market, this one is before you actually get into the village. On the road from Knutsford to Chelford. This carboot sale is a HUGE one!!!! Massive!!!

A bit further afield, but York and Wetherby racecourses have car boots - York is particularly good....

burscough have a huge carboot and market,were from chorley and we go there alot!!
