No, let's keep the UN out of Geology, they have enough problems as it is. Let us say that the General Assembly did as you proposed. Since the GA is a tooth-less body it would accomplish nothing. If the Security Council took up the matter, the United States would veto it since it would harm Israel, or Russia would veto it since that would harm the United States, or China would veto it since China has an Inferiority Complex in regards to the United States or Russia. The bottom line is that nothing can be accomplished in the UN, so let's not go there.

Gondwanaland is not united right now because it's broken up into a lot of competing fractions. Of course, it's not anyone's particular fault!!!

But with out subducion the US's west coast would no longer have active volcanoes and active volcanoes are fun..... please dont take the magmatic arcs away from me. I neeeeed them. Geothermal power, steaming ground, beautious pyroclastic deposits....noble Plinlin eruption clouds....... who needs boring gondoanaland neways.
