I' am new to the compters, I know that cable is better than dial up, but my budget is not enough for $65.00 per month! I would like to connect my internet conection with my son's computer, I have already instaled the wireless cards to both computers, and I just bought a:
Belkins Wireless Pre-N Router model F5D8230-4. is it possible to use and can I do it my self or should I pay a tech to install it???

The wireless router and installing of the wireless cards is not difficult at all. If you just follow the quick install guide it will walk you through it very easily.

That said the actual networking of the two computers is the hardest part. Its not just plug and play. You have to go into each computer and set the firewall permissions, sharing of folders or whole hard drives, Internet Sharing and printers can be a daunting task if you have never done it before. Then it looks like you want to share internet over dial up. Im not kissing when I say this is very very very slow. Surfing on the computer that is connected to the internet over the wireless connection will be to painful for me to even think about.

But if you feel up to it then email me and I will attempt to send you a step by step guide to doing this. In your email please tell me the operating systems you use and which computer is connected to the dial up modem and any printers you also want to network.
