Is anyone else here tired of seeing people excuse themselves from doing whatever stupid stuff (usually cheating) because they were drunk?
Anything from having sex with the stripper at their bachelorette party or making out with their brother's wife - whatever!
Both in the questions and the answers - I can't believe people use that excuse. If it REALLY isn't your fault when you do stupid stuff drunk, then it also isn't your fault if you run someone over with your car or whatever drunk too.

Nobody give this excuse anymore, please!!! If you can't control your behavior while drinking, then don't drink at all.

I just answered a question about this.. I agree with you 100%..

First off.. Your either so drunk you pass out.. or your drunk and still know whats going on you just don't care because you are drunk!

I feel people drunk or not did the crime they should own up for it without excuses. It takes a weak person to use an excuse instead of just saying, Hey man I screwed up.

So I agree with you...if you cant handle your booze, Don't drink it!!!

So, when my wife said, "I m an alcoholic, I was drunk, it wasn t my fault when I dry humped that 20 yr. old in the bar, and later jerked him off in the back of the family car." Or, "I was drunk, I don t remember breaking your nose and almost ripping out your right eye."....Or, "I was drunk, it wasn t my fault when I smoked pot with my friends and had a 3 way with them while you were home raising the kids on your own."...... I should just forgive and forget?

The real point is that you were sober when you took that first drink. So you made a contract that you could behave responsibly even if you consumed. The sick thing about the excuse is that some people accept it.

I agree with you. I've had my share of times being drunk, and I still knew what I was doing. I never did think that excuse could hold water.

Been loaded a few times myself, it's not a disease or some-thing
one is required to do ---- hence, no passing off responsibility.
you ARE correct, drunk folk have NO excuse for bad behavior.

i absolutely hate that. Being drunk is no excuse because they let themselves get drunk in the first place.
i would love to see that excuse go down the drain!

I agree.we all know how far we may go after having a certain amount to drink. Its a matter of knowing and caring enough stop before you get to that point, that you could make the mistake. If you dont then you have no excuse, you did it willingly, when you could have avoided it.
