Sweetheart, you could write your essay on Robert E. Lee, the Confederate general. He certainly had an impact on American history. So did Gerritt Smith, one of the most famed abolitionists in America -and certainly the richest. Or Thomas Edison. Or Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt. Or how about Elizabeth Smith Miller, Golda Mier, Louisa May Alcott, Dorothea Dix or the only woman ever to have earned the Medal of Honor...America's highest military honor. Her name was Mary Edwards Walker. But: it's much, much better if you look these folks up and do your own work. Hey, 500 words is nothin' hon - wait 'till you hit graduate school!
I'd recommend Gerritt Smith - or Elizabeth Smith Miller, his niece, the daring young woman who first wore pants in public! I am friends with the woman who owns that lady's house - and my friend does Living History interpretations of Ms Miller. You'd like this lady: she's fascinating to talk to and to learn from about women's history and the unique and difficult path women have had to walk over the centuries!

Oh, so you would like us to abet plagiarism and cheating by writing your entire essay for you? Then how will you learn to write essays?
Surely there are historic people that you find of interest. 500 words is basically one typed page.
How about:
Joseph Lister
Thomas Edison
Clara Barton
Dorothea Dix
Jane Addams
Isaac Newton
One of these people might be of interest to you when you research them.
Don't forget to organize your essay by deciding on your main points, then writing a thesis/conclusion, and only then starting with your introduction.
Good luck!

I don't write essays for other people. You won't learn anything if someone does it for you. Use a former president or someone else who made history. Think! You'll come up with someone.
