I had sex up until the day before I delivered. Unless your doctor tells you not to, THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING SEX WHILE PREGNANT!

If you're having a normal pregnancy, sex is considered safe during all stages of the pregnancy, unless your water broke...

It's strange how you can hear and read a lot about sex before and after pregnancy, but not so much about having sex during.

If your doc says it's okay, go right ahead. My husband and I had sex almost every day up to the last month and we only stopped because I got so big we could not find a comfy position :).

Here are some Dont's though:

"- If you engage in oral sex, your partner should not blow air into your vagina. Blowing air can cause an air embolism (a blockage of a blood vessel by an air bubble), which can be potentially fatal for mother and child.

- You should not have sex with a partner whose sexual history is unknown to you or who may have a sexually transmitted disease, such as herpes, genital warts, chlamydia, or HIV. If you become infected, the disease may be transmitted to your baby, with potentially dangerous consequences. "

My husband and I have been married for nearly 30 years. We have 4 children. When I was pregnant, we continued to have sex regularly throughout all of my pregnancies. As long as you are both comfortable with it and the doctor does not put any restrictions on you, then having sex while pregnant is perfectly fine. As you get further along, you will want to become a little creative with positions since lying on your back while sleeping or having sex will be uncomfortable and is not recommended in later pregnancy due to the weight of the growing baby can put pressure on your internal organs.

Pregnancy sex is great!!!! All the extra blood flow down there makes for some intense feelings!! My husband and i would have LOVED to have more sex (especially during the second trimester before i got too big), but i was put on bedrest (i was high risk). As long as you are experiencing a normal pregnancy sex is OK up until the water breaks!!!

I'm 6 months pregnant with twins, so I am huge and we still have sex, not as many positions, but jus to be close and to make love. I will have to stop soon, because of doctors orders, but with my others, we had sex all the way through, unless he was deployed, then we didn't have any at all, lol. It is fine as long as your doctor doesn't put you on pelvic rest.

When I was pregnant we continued to have sex up until 4 days before our daughter was born. That was only because I was feeling like crap and didn't want to. It's completely fine and healthy if he doesn't have any new STD's. You wouldn't want to introduce that into your body with your baby there. Other than that it's completely healthy. ENJOY!! Hey, at least you don't have to worry about getting pregnant. :)

WELL i JUST HAD A BABY 4 MONTHS AGO AND MY DOCTOR ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT IF I FELT UP TO IT AS LONG AS YOUR WATER HAS NOT BROKE AND THE DOCTOR HAS NOT TOLD YOU TO STOP THEN YOU WILL BE OK AND IT DOES NOT HURT THE BABY IN FACT IT WILL ROCK THE BABY TO SLEEP. AND EVERYONE SAYS THAT SEX IS BETTER FOR YOUR HUSBAND WHILE YOUR PREGANT SO GO AHEAD AND ENJOY YOURSELF OR AT LEAST TRY TO.

Why not? It doesn't hurt the baby, and if you feel up to it, go ahead and enjoy!
The only time you should stop having sex for health reasons is when the doctor tells you to stop, or if your water breaks... other than that...its fun!!!
Good Luck
