Why have the Rock Hall in Cleveland when all the inductee' events take place in NY everytime? Why not build it there? Oh, that's right, my bad, Cleveland was the only "Dope" that ponied up the $1.5 mill to have the "shrine" built there. FYI, Detroit passed as did a few other cities. Stop the "front".. Call it like it is!!! The Rock Hall is not in Cleveland for the reasons "they" claim it is. Please don't tell me that the ceramonies are always held in NY because of the draw that city has over Cleveland?

Huey Lewis says the heart of Rock and roll is in Cleveland.....but what the hell would Huey Lewis know about Rock and Roll.....If the Beatles or The Stones had proclaimed this it would certainly carry more weight.

The Rock N Roll HOF is in Cleveland because the DJ and early Rock N Roll promoter, Alan Freed coined the phrase in Cleveland. It wasn't just a money issue. Several cities fought over having the HOF. Cleveland was determined the most deserving. It is a complete joke that the inductions are in NY. Is any other induction done somewhere seperate from their respective HOF?

I totally agree with you, the Rock and Roll Hall of fame is in Cleveland so I think the inductions should be in Cleveland too it makes perfect sense. Clevelanders paid the bill for it, they should at least see some benefit from it.

The Rock Hall is a joke anyway.
The Sex Pistols are in there. I can't tell you one song they sang, but Chubby Checker ( The Twist and 23 other songs) isn't. The top four groups of the 60's in order were 1) The Beatles 2) The Supremes 3) The Four Seasons and 4) The Beach Boys. But it took years for the Four Seasons to get in.

Take it to New York. Their loss would be Clevelands gain.

We have a "working in poverty" problem in this country and some idiots got together to build a shrine for glorified drug addicts, child molesters, rapists, plagiarists, adulterers, prostitutes, tax evaders, flesh merchants, domestic abusers, con men, absentee parents, jailbirds, and in some cases, musicians.

A white elephant if ever there was one.
