You thought he dried them & he didn't. He thought you put them in the drier & you didn't. Well, by the time you notice it, they have begun to smell bad & then you have to wash them again. There's no mold or mildew that I can see. So-o-o-o, exactly WHERE DOES THE ODOR COME FROM?

It is either mold or mildew - you just can't see it yet. Leave them in there a couple of weeks and you'll see it as well as smelling it. You'll have to rewash them again to get the odor out.

It is mold/mildew, it just isn't enough to see yet. Wash again, add 1/2 cup vinegar to the wash.
