Your right in the age where it could a ton of things that are happening; such as:
1. you need glasses or it could be a stigmatisim (my daughter had this and did excercises with her eyes and it worked)

2. your body is changing and there are a lot of things that will happen that never happened before-including headaches

3. stress- are things okay at school (tests), how about at home (fighting with parents or brother or sisters). worrying about getting your period....

4. lack of excercise- I don't mean 20 minute a day stuff, are you sitting around a lot and not moving? Believe it or not, at your age it makes a difference in your body especially the changes it is going though now.

5. are you trying to do too many things at one time? involvement in school, after school, homework, spending time with friends, reading, after school activities?

We all get headaches, and most of them are self-induced. Meaning that we bring them on ourselves but don't realize it!

I would say to take two aspirn and if you still have them continuously for about a month, I would let my doctor know about it. By the way, have you told your mom? This is something that you should let her know about so she can keep track of it too. She may want you to get your eyes checked first before you go to a medical doctor.

Oh, by the way------you can get headaches before you start your period also- hungrey spells (especially chocolate), crankiness, a small amount of wait gain (bloat), and more. There isn't any set rule to go by, everyone reacts differently we can just give you hints what we all go through. Good Luck and keep the tampons handy just in case!!

Wow,I dont think this is a sign of your period at all.If you have already had your period,a mild headache could be a sign of pms,or it could just be a headache.I have suffred with migrains for over 12 years, and if you are having them 2-3 times a week,at 13 you need to tell your mom or dad so they can bring you to a Dr.Despite being so painful, they can be a sign of other health issues and it needs to be checked out. There is also meds for migrains to control the pain. Are you positive you are having migrains?
Go to the site below and share the info with your mom if you have these symptoms.Good luck!Feel better!

I have the same problem but I found out that it was my eyes. I got my eyes tested and I needed glasses. I put them for the first month and never had a headache, but I got bored of wearing them because it is not cool and the migrain came back. I still don't wear my glasses, I prefer migrains!

That's a possibility, but I think it's probably something else. Try getting your eyes checked; even minor vision problems can give you headaches. Does anyone else if your family get migrains? I used to get them as often as you do, like my dad. Now I hardly ever get them (I'm 13 now). There are other things (dehydration, malnutrition, etc.) that can cause you to have migrains, so take all that into consideration too.

I used to get migraine all the time when i was in my teens. Could be lots of different triggers. Mine was anything lemon flavour or whenever i was really excited about something. (ie, fair, trips) Even if the trigger is the onset of your periods starting, or another trigger, go to docs. If you get pre- warning signs before the headache you can get tablets to stop the migraine starting. Feel for you, they hurt loads.

It may be all connected, but I wouldnt like to say you will definitely start your periods! Maybe speak to your mum (or the person you live with). They could maybe ask the Dr for some advice, I would say that it may be the start of things to come or you may be under some stress, have you/or are you picking your options! This can also result in stress in the form of headaches. Try and get plenty of rest and make time for yourself

I don't think migraines have anything to do with them. I am 13 and sometimes get migraines but they don't affect periods for me.

Migraines are not only caused by the beginning of your
first period. See your doctor. There could be another reason
for your migrain. Feel Better.

not in the slightest. It may come soon, but the migraines aren't actually the cause or the signal. You may want to see a doctor to see whatzup with your migraines. It may or may not signal something wrong with you but just to check talk to your guardians/parents to get an appointment.

It is more than likely connected to puberty and you are getting to the age where your periods could kick off any time however it may not be a definite sign. if the migraines continue go and see your doctor and he should be able to suggest something for it.
