Does anyone ever get grossed out when a co-worker comes to your desk and rummages through your papers. Now here comes the gross part, they have aweful breath and they use there spit on there paper to rummage through my papers. Ugggghhhhh am I just being to retentive or do I have good reason!

no you arent being anal...that is gross!! im guilty of the finger licking thing, but to MY papers. and dragon breath is inexcuseable! you gotta say something to this guy...put a pack of mints on top of your paper stacks!

It is bad manners to rummage through a co-worker's papers without their permission, especially in their presence. As regards spit, i have seen many persons use this method to assist them when going through pages. I understand how you feel as i hate it myself.

In both matters, you have good reason.

totally gross. is your office a little less than "corporate". I used to put up funny signs on my desk. I used to have a SHHHH flag that'd I'd raise if I was on the phone when obnoxiously loud guys would talk around my desk.
(I especially hated this one guy! eek)

It is unprofessional for another coworker to go through your desk. Unless he/she has a good reason, they really can't do that. If they do it routinely, I would raise it with the manager.

Yeah...the whole finger licking thing is just plain nasty, unsanitary, etc. It is gross. This is what they make thumb rubbers for.
