It is possible? yes. But it is very dificult.
Sex involves romantic issues, and when you start having romantic feelings for your friend, it becomes almost imposible to keep the friendship, without starting something else.
Imagine you have sex with your friend, and she start having romantic feelings about you, and you date some other girl. What the friend would feel about it? can you talk to her, as if you don't have nothing else?
What if you are the one who thinks that can be something else, that you really are looking for a commited relationship? and she comes and tell you about a new boy she is dating? How would you feel?

Of course! I've been having sex with my best friend for 20 years. We have two beautiful teenage daughters and love each other to death!

Of course, if you can't bump some fuzz and soak some suds with a friend and still be friends then, then at least you got what you wanted and move on.

Yes it is possible but the bad thing, it is very difficult to maintain and your friendship will eventually come to an end

Yes, but very, very difficult if it isn't your partner for life. Eventually the friendship gets harder to maintain.

I think that it is, but are you just talking about "fu*k buddies"? like that they would sleep together and date other people....it really depends on how jealous each of the people are and the respect that they show one another...i think it can be done.
