During my last pregnancy i took a home test and they all came back negative or invalid. I went to the doctor just a few days later and she told me I was 11 weeks pregnant. Right now I am thinking I'm pregnant but it's a little hard to trust the home pregnancy tests. I have taken 3, 2 came back negative and 1 came back invalid. I'm confused!!!

home pregnancy tests that come out negative can be wrong. if it comes out positive there is no way it is wrong. basically don't trust a test if it says negative you can still be pregnant. that happened to me. for a home test to really work you have to be at least 2 weeks pregnant. it is always best to test at the dr's office.

Well, possibly the tests are not picking up your HCG's, you know? And of course, i'm sure many of us ladies can feel your pain with false negative pregnancy tests or even invalid ones. Well, safely, i can say that there are more false negatives than positives so if you were getting a positive, then the test is detecting HCG's and something is going on, but if they are all negative and your period still hasn't come, the safest thing to do is make a doctor's appointment and see what's going on :) Good luck to you :)

Home pregnancy tests aren't 100% correct, though it sounds like you've had a heck of a time with them.

If you are getting negatives or invalids, but think you are pregnant go to your doctor. Though it sounds like you might already be planning to do that.

You could be taking the tests too early. If not I would go to your doctor for a test to put your mind at ease. I have taken many over the years and never has a false positive or negative. Have you tried switching brands? Maybe you just don't produce enough pregnancy hormone for them to register? Who knows.....Get the doc to do one to know once and for all.

Woe! i can't believe you were still getting negatives at 11 weeks. Maybe you should just go to the doctor now, well when you can, and get a blood test done already. At least then you should know for sure.

My mom had the same problem for years.

She would take a pregnancy test, and they would ALWAYS come back positive (about 20 tests of different brands she took lol).

So obviously, they aren't 100% reliable. Go see a doctor. They'll give you the best results

Some women do not excrete hCG into their urine, their body gets rid of it in a different way. As such they will never show positive on a urine test. Just go get a blood test.

Interesting. Either you have some strange body chemistry, the test is defective, or you're not using it correctly.
