I have used both types, prefer the trusty cast iron skillet over every other type.

a touch oil in the pan (ensure the finished bottom is oiled), upload the corn and a lid and wait until eventually that's finished popping. i have not in any respect finished it in an electric powered skillet, so i visit't say what putting to apply, yet at the same time as i replaced right into a baby we used to apply a saucepan on the stovetop. I look to keep in mind installation a unmarried or 2 kernels and prepared for them to pop, signalling that the oil replaced into the right temp, and then including some thing else and overlaying it. We also positioned on an oven mitt, held the lid down and gave the pan an occasional shake to save it from burning, which may be not straightforward to do with an electric powered frying pan. basically, some thing which will warmth the moisture contained in the kernel to the position that's going to explode the kernel will artwork; they make poppers for sticking right into a campfire, even, and that i have heard that you'll be able to easily stick kernels right into a brown paper bag, close it tightly and dad it in the microwave. The oil you install the pan or a non-warm air popper is to confirm even distribution of warm temperature, in spite of the undeniable fact that there is the extra advantage of no longer needing butter or some thing to reason salt or different seasonings to adhere.

I have a cast iron pan, actually I have a 5 a 6 and an 8. I love them, and after they are well seasoned, they are pretty near non-stick.

I just don't have any cast iron right now or would use them too. I do have an old 1950's electric, no Teflon, which I love and use regularly.
