yeah there is 10,000 years of human history but how much of that has been recorded onto film.
I guess If they make a documentary about something before film was created then they have to create CGI images and make recreations using actors which will cost money.
However when they do a program about hilter they can just show the old film that was recorded at the time and talk over it which I bet is much cheaper to produce.
That must why they only every really show 20th century histroy.
I just put it down to them being cheap gits.

It has been called by many "The Hitler Channel," but I think that particular period of time holds the most value to its audience who either lived in the time or have relatives who did. They do occasionally have programming about other periods, especially with the creation of their History World channel.

i sometimes wonder the same thing ! what on earth would they show if there hadn't been a WW1 or WW2 ?!? they seem to show more programs on the wars through the daytime for some reason - the programs are slightly more diverse on an evening. and before anyone gives me a 'thumbs down' for saying negative things about the wars, my opinions and beliefs are not directed towards the men & women who fought for our freedom, it's just that as Snowth pointed out - there are thousands of years worth of history to report on - it would be nice if there were more programs on different periods in history, not just the wars.

i take it to know that it only ever has that on that you sit and watch it all day, quit moaning, it was a big part of history, if you have a problem with it, call the channel producers and tell them, stop wasting our time with stupid rubbish like this.....
plus, i watched something about jesus on the history channel the other week, i'm pretty sure his real name isnt hitler!

A lot of film from that era has recently come to light and by putting it into documentary form the general public can now view what was once thought lost.
However, you sound like you'd be happier with a Girls Gone Wild tape.

well its just like the automobile. Germans thought of it and here in the US of A get no credit for it. its just another "pull the wool over there eyes" type thing. you either agree with it and shut up or don't agree with it and become just another Nazi in there eyes. no offense man but I'm German and get so sick of Herring about the Jews. that's its all the Germans fault and ****, Hitler was Austrian, funny. and i have alto of Jew friends but yea they just wanna make them look bad i think
