how fast can you learn? Go on the web and find the nearest MSF (motorcycle safety foundation) course in your area. Most courses are set up for a weekend or 3-4 days during the week. Most dealership sponsor an MSF as well. The only thing you'll need is a permit, which can be obtained by paying the $10-20, and taking a written test, unless you've already got a car license. Once you have the permit, you can take a MSF course. Remember, that you'll need long sleeve shirt, boots that go over the ankle, a helmet and gloves in order to go to the class, but I'm sure that they will tell you that when you register.

One weekend. call the dealerships on your section (in spite of the emblem) and they can allow you to know the position the nearest MSF direction is. Or examine the phone e book or the MSF information superhighway website. MSF is the bike protection commencing position, and in maximum states, if no longer all, taking a MSF direction is a similar as getting a license. maximum states assist you to mail a replica of the direction ending contact certificate in and obtain a license in go back. some criteria are that you've a bike allow. in case you've already got a motive force's license for a automobile, all you want to do is pay the allow value, round $10. in case you do not have a motive force's license, you'll first favor to bypass a written attempt.

I took a weekend MSF safety course and got a certificate for passing the class. Take the certificate to the DMV to obtain your motorcycle endorsement. The MSF safety course is all day saturday and sunday. Highly recommended....

The MSF is usually over a weekend. At least in NH and MA it is. Plan on spending most of a Saturday and Sunday taking the class.
As at a local MC dealer, they will know of sure.
