Could anyone please give me a list of good books I could read on every day life in Africa? It doesn't matter what region, I'd like to look at what it's like in different parts of the country and how it compares, things like that. Books that tell me how far it has developed in some parts and others that include information on child soldiers. Thanks for your help!

(NO WIKIPEDIA PLEASE. I can search the internet myself, thank you.)

Information on the government would also be great. Thank you so much.

i would suggest that you read novels set in africa. while i haven't published the one i am writing, i would suggest books from Nigeria. since you can search, why not run a search for Ngugi wa Thiongo(Kenya) or Dennis Brutus(South Africa)

alternatively, most schools in africa with websites give informnation on thier area. check thier sites.
hope it helps.
