I Can;t Unlock my Computer?

HI, I have windows xp Home edition I'm the administrator, I lost my Pasword, Ican't unlock it- Please Help

There are several free password recovery tools floating around the internernet for 2K and XP.
Just download one from another machine and use it to gain access to yours.
Just do a Google search for " XP password recovery" or "XP password changer".
Lucky for you that Windows is relatively easy to hack unlike Linux.
You would never be able to do that with Linux or Unix system.

As you're starting it up, press F8 until
you get the boot options menu.
Select "Safe Mode With Command Prompt"
if on windows XP:

once the command prompt comes up, type
"net user administrator /random" and WRITE
DOWN THE PASSWORD it gives you as it has been
changed to that.

copy the sam file in other os or in another
pc and try to crach\k it there are many
software.if you fail then do this

open cmd and type

net user xxxx password /add
net localgroup administrators letmein /add
net accounts /maxpwage:unlimited
REGEDIT /s autologon.reg
EXIT
note:xxx is your user name

If you u have another administrator account, login with that id and reset the password in user management. If no other administrator account is there; then there is always one perfect solution for anything on windows, format c drive and reinstall OS.

I am not sure but you can try removing C-mos battery and refixing it . This will enable you to reset the password. Alternatively the last resort is to format the computer and get the windows reinstalled.

i am sure if you took it to the government and told them you had government secrets on it they could open it for you real fast.
