Why cant they just live in a cage and drink water? Because they do come up for oxygen dont they? so why dont they just live in oxygen?? lol

No, goldfish do not come up for air or oxygen. They get their oxygen from the water that surrounds them. And they don't live in cages for the same reason you don't live in a bowl of water (even though there is oxygen in water, why can't you breath water).

If you take a fish out of water it dies! That is because it needs oxygen filled water to move across it gills so it can breathe.

They don't come up for air unless they're in real distress!
They live in water because they have gills and fins, not lungs and legs or wings.
Besides, Vodka is way too expensive to use, and filtration is a pain.

Because they breathe water in through their gills and they don't have arms or legs. So beside the fact that they wouldn't be able to use arms to fill up their gills they would just lay in the same spot 24/7.

Why don't you try living under water? HUH?Fish have gills,not lungs and breathe by taking oxygen through their gills. THEY ARE FISH! They don't have legs,they have FINS, Study elementary biology !!
