Are you talking about moonflower vine - the one related to morning glories?
If so - it's an annual. It self seeds profousely. I have no idea about re-planting. Personally, I'm willing to try almost anything - because I have occasionally seen plants live in situations they weren't supposed to. Can't argue with success.
Since that's something I plant when the soil has warmed completely - I would think it would NOT like being put in cold wet soil -especailly since it's not programmed to live more than one season. Wait until you soil is warm - mid may. Then plant. See what happens. If it had flowered last year - I wouldn't expect much, because it might "know" it has completed its mission. If it didn't flower, it may make a comback in order to fulfill its biological imperiative - to reproduce.
If it's some other "moon flower" (as often there are several plants that share a common name that are unrelated), then nevermind my answer....

Ok, this is advice from personal experiance!
First of all, moon flowers are so great! They smell so good and are soo beautiful!!
Anyways, i think you should be able to plant these anytime b/c they're around all year long! So, right now would be a really good time to plant them! The sooner the better. That way you'll have yourself some beautiful flowers b4 you know it!
I wish you the best of luck and have fun planting!!

Were they the jimsen weed moonflowers, or the vine? I have moon flowers, and have had them for years. They are kind of perennial, but re-seed themselves to the point of take over. If you have the regular plants, there is no need to dig them up. If they are the plant, you can't put them out now, because they're not acclimated to the cold. Now you have to wait for the last frost. Next year, don't waste your time taking them out.

defenately wait several more weeks before you plant your moon flowers, or they will freeze in the ground from frost, wait until the second or third week of april, and if you need to you can start them early in large pots in a grage with a grow light. you can get those things at any green house and sometimes your local hardware store too. - Ash

To early.
Wait till after May 10th at the earliest but I'd wait till after the 15th.
I've had frost as late as the 20th but that is rare

From my be attentive to-how with reference to the antichrist, the antichrist is meant to be a pacifist and is meant to get all international locations to no longer combat with one yet another anymore. Obummer isn't doing that
