The word "vide" is Latin for "see" which is sometimes (rarely) used in legal terminology, e.g., "vide ante," meaning "see above." I have never seen it used together with an English word, and ordinarily the Latin would come first ("vide brief"), but my best guess is that this means "see the brief," if that makes sense in the context in which it was used
