I have known my friend for nearly 10 years. We were close ( I was holding her leg has she gave birth to her twins) but since I moved away from her 4 years ago I feel our friendship is very one sided.
Its always me that phones or text her unless she wants something or to come for a holiday. Everytime she and the children come, I pay for everything. Which is quite costly (1 adult and 2 8yr olds) she always leaves a lasting impression on my home, last time pointed heal marks all over my wooden floors, She also asked me to lend her £5000 for cosmetic surgery and was not happy when I refused, she is a bit of a tart with men and always goes for mr wrong, I told her to get some self respect!!! and she went home early and we havn't really spoken since.
So do I call it a day??????
The problems is I think the world of her children and don't want to lose contact with them
Ps this may sound petty but she dos'nt even send my children birthday cards and it really pisses me off!!

when people are poor ....they'll be sweet from the outside
they'll do anything to get what they want n what their kids would want and not think of anyone else ...
an unindependant women seekin men who have money to support her livin is unimpressive and no self respect ..
borrowin money becomes funny next time she'll want plenty..
no love back means she's going along her own track knot knowin whats best for her until she see's it clear ...
as for you...your very sweet for makin her feel confortable when you can so you are appreicated !! perhaps you need to show her things the right way instead of the wong !! lol everyone learns from themselves soon or later ...call her n see what she's up to after that if she dont eva call you or text you she dont want to know you unless you got somethin she can play wit for free and that somethin she wouldnt have to pay for (a user !! ) best thing to do is ignore her n carry on livin your own life ...one day she'll come by n see you somewhere else livin better !!!

I kind of understand how you feel, I have a very similar friend.
There have been so many occasions where I have had enough and feel my life would be alot simpler if I didn't bother, but the fact of the matter is we became friends for a reason and I can't help but remind myself of that.

I think if you feel she is truly taking the p*ss then maybe it's time to really distance yourself from her. Obviously its a terrible shame you won't see her children.
People change, and even the best of friends can end up two totally incompatible people, you really just have to go with your instincts on this.

You never know she might one day realise what shes lost and start to make some true effort!

p.s I think it's terrible that she makes no effort to send cards to your children, it sends out a huge message! Maybe she just doesn't care enough about you or your family.

you dont need to stop being friends with her. you can never have to many friends after all. you should tell her how you feel youve been friends for ages. if she then doesnt want to be friends with you any more then thats her disicion.
