We see no other evidence of rodents, but am wondering if these are droppings of some sort? They are sesame seed sized and are black.

I want to underscore that we have no other evidence of rodents. Nothing appears chewed, for example.

Why do no longer you're taking a digital camera and positioned it on macro and take a image or only visit the VET? Does your cat roam outdoors plenty? if so, then that's amazingly obtainable that she is finding out on UP SEEDS IN HER FUR from despite the fact that plant existence she is strolling by using. in any different case, they may well be insect eggs or trojan horse pills, eggs or segments....take kitty to vet for deworming. Do they HOP? if so that they are FLEAS.

it sure sounds like droppings of some kind. I'd call in an exterminator, especially since you see them in your child's chair.
It's not rats or mice, their droppings are much bigger than a sesame seed.

One of two possibilities. If they are really small like you say, about the size of poppy seeds, you have roaches. If they are a tad larger like chocolate sprinkles, you have mice.
