I have wanted anoles for a long time. I went to PetCo one day to look around and buy some reptile supplies for my 'babies' at home, and ended up watching these adorable little green anoles for about an hour. i was wondering if a small group of green anoles could be placed with a small group of cuban(bahama) anoles in a 45gal hex tank thats tall and looks like enough room for 15 or so anoles.

Not that I'm putting that many in there. I would get a maximum of 6.

Carolina Anoles are small (about 6 inches with the red throat flap), Bahama Anoles are slightly larger (with a blue throat flap), Cuban Anoles get very large (over a foot). MAKE SURE which you are getting, Cubans will eat the smaller Carolina or Bahaman Anoles but there should be no trouble with the smaller Anoles sharing the same enclosure.

no each green anole needs at least 10 gallons of space per anole. the cubans need 7 gallons per anole. They come from the same habitat, but different micro habitat. They can make eachother sick and cause the whole group to die. The anoles could sufffer from many parasites, such as negitive gram rods, pinworms, or even cryptosploridum(sp?) all that could cause death if put togather. mixing species is never recomended.

I don't know anything about bahaman anoles...but guessing by the name, they are from a tropical reagion, so their habitat is set up that way, Green anoles dont live in tropical areas, they live in our own back yards(eastern us) so i wouldnt let them live together. But im not completely sure, reasearch the type of envirenment they each live in and compare.
Good luck

They would be just fine together. The Petco where I live actually keeps them in the same cage.

they should be fine together as long as they have no other males in there, adequate space and lighting.
