Our president is an idiot and obviously does not care how many American lives are lost. Those people are fighting for their religious beliefs, they will not give up. Bush has increased security for getting into the US but made exceptions for the people of the Bin Laden family...why is he allowed to do this? More troops is not the solution. We need a new leader, before a Lot more people die.

The surge is a wise maneuver on the part of the Administration. Escalation continues to give promise that a military solution to security in Iraq may still be achieved. As the Democrats continue to call for withdrawal and if and when we do withdraw (which seems likely) this gives the Neo Conservatives ample ammunition to spin the Administrations failure in Iraq squarely on the shoulders of the Democrats. A Simple, effective , political maneuver to distance themselves from the hot seat as far as possible under the circumstances.

Another even more ominous scenario is the possibility that they may hope to hang in Iraq long enough to transfer Iraq back to the Clintons . The same Clintons that enforced Bush Seniors sanctions against Iraq for 8 years that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi citizens do to shortages of palatable water, refrigeration, nutrition and basic medical care.

When a town has more criminals in the streets than the existing police force can handle safely in a way that assures public safety ...
...it is a usual policy to get more cops on the streets...
Fact is, this Iraq thing must end because we have a few other fishes to fry...the partisan penny ante bickering from Wash DC is something the people of the USA need to unite and squash.
There is only one satifactory outcome once the Troops are called. "Victory".
That won't happen well or quick the way that we are dividing over this issue. Our divided stance raises the morale of the enemy... and that is playing into the hands of one of the sickest men on earth...Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

I think as long as Bush and the Republicans keep saying, if you don't give us what we want, you don't care about our troops......the Congress will let Bush use that phrase to blackmail them into giving him what he wants. The bunch of cowards.

Up until last night I was against it. But after watching the Ted Koppel Report on,"Our Children's Children's War" on the Discvovery Channel( will be shown again tonight on a cable network) I changed my mind. There are a lot going on, more than any of us have realized with Islamnic Jihad's in many, many different regions of the world. You will be shocked! Looking back at my notes I believe it was March 2003, (I failed to date it) where President Bush made this statement,"This WAR started on my watch, but it will end on your WATCH", indictating it would be a much longer war than any expected. Were we listening?According to this report this war is not expected to end within ten (10) years.
Al-Qaeda Muslims are an inspiration to Al-Qaeda, they rule with deception. We, American Citizens either fight them on their on turf or we will fight them on American soil. Which of the two do you perfer?

I know the question is WHY? The world of Islam says, "You either bow to Islam or die! As noted in their Quran: 2:191,
it says, ..."kill the disbelivers wherever we find them; fight and slay the Pagans, seize them, beleaguer them & lie in wait for them. Quran:9:5."murder them & treat them harshly" Quran: 9:123. Jihad is mandatory., "Unless we go forth, (for Jihad) He (Allah their god) will punish us with a grevious penalty, & put others in our place. Quran:
8: 12-17. "WOMEN WHO DISOBEY THEIR HUSBANDS GO TO HELL" Quran: 66:10. We must rally together
world-wide or the WAR on TERROR will be in your neighborhood tomorrow and this WAR will be our children's children's WAR. Folks we are in for a fight of our lives!
The majority of what I have read in the Quran or Koran is absolutely sick, PURE EVIL!

I think it is not a solution to the problems there. It will put more US lives at risk without any measurable benefit.

I don't like the idea...We have too many soldiers that are losing their lives and leaving families and friends that need them behind. We don't need to lose anymore.
