If you are keeping up with your regular visits then I wouldn't worry. Sometimes it's hard to tell what the movements are. I would go to the doctors just to make sure everything is OK. It helps to sit and relax for a while, when I do that my baby becomes more active. Good luck.

Yes, it's normal. Everyone feels the first movements at different times. Most of the time a first time mother will feel movement but not recognize it for what it is. Often it will feel like gas. When I realized I was feeling movement with my first child I had thought it was just my shirt brushing against my stomach. Something about the feeling finally caught my full attention and I realized the feeling wasn't external but internal and it was quite regular and I realized it was the baby moving. Don't worry, it's still early to feel movement. It depends on the baby's size and strength as well as position. In a few more months you're going to be complaining about getting kicked in the ribs regularly :)
Good luck and congrats!

hmmm..
Well are u sure u havent maybe u excused it for a gas bubble or something else..?
You probably won't feel your baby kick until sometime between 16 and 22 weeks, even though he started moving at 7 or 8 weeks and you may have already witnessed his acrobatics if you've had an ultrasound.
Veteran moms tend to notice those first subtle kicks — also known as "quickening" — earlier than first-time moms. (A woman who's been pregnant before can more easily distinguish her baby's kick from other belly rumblings, such as gas.)
Your build may also have something to do with when you'll be able to tell a left jab from a hunger pang. Thinner women tend to feel movement earlier and more often than women who carry more weight.
are u a bigger woman? maybe that could be it...
but if ur worried maybe u should call ur doctor and bring it up to him... I would
good luck

everyone varies when they fist fell their baby move i was about 18 weeks when i felt the fluttering movements it used to tickle of fell like a muscle spasm but in your abdomen.
but it was about 23 weeks before i felt a proper kick.
think it also depends on how much fluid your carrying.
don't worry you may have already felt it but not recognized the feeling that's why they say you tend to notice earlier with you second because you know what to look for.
hope this helps

With my first pregnancy i didn't feel a flutter until 20 weeks but, i have always heard that if your over weight it can make a difference as well.
You could let your health care provider know just to fell at ease. I'm sure everything is fine, you had an ultrasound?
I had one at 20 weeks and the baby was just fine.

well i would feel a little worried. Normally you feel some sort of movement around 14- 16 weeks and definatly some kicking around 20 weeks or so. I would ask your doctor aout it. Have you had prenatal care at all? Can the doctor hear the heartbeat when you go? Those are some questions you should ask.

Well, size can matter in women. Please don't be offended but if you are petite chances are you will feel it sooner. If you are a little heavier it may be more difficult to feel. Or some people just don't know what to expect when trying to feel their baby move. If this is your first, right now all you will feel is tiny flutters, and gradually they will become full blown kicks.
If you don't feel any movement soon I suggest calling your Dr.

not at all??? not even a little bit? Then I would get to the doc as soon as possible, they need to know this. 21 weeks is quite early to feel regular movement, but u should have felt something by now, however faint

This may sound a little stupid, but working at
a car dealership and in the service depart-
ment we have customer's call and explain
what their car is doing, and we always tell
them we cannot diagnose their car over the
phone and especially with your pregnacy I
would go right to the doctor. This is some-
thing not to put off. Good luck to you and
your child.
