Can anyone please tell me if there is a way to restore my Amilo Pro V2085 laptop to factory settings without using the restore disc. My CD rom has stopped working. I have heard you can use the keyboard to do this. Any ideas. Thanks

The only way on my Amilo is via the restore CD. Instructions are in the manual.

If your lucky you have a restore partition that can be used to bring your computer back to the original configuration. Check your documentation to see how to do a system restore. There is usually a key comination that you do during boot up. Escape F9 will initiate a restore on machines with a Ghost image. It looks like your computer is equipped with Acronis True Image.
