It seems like she's trying to 'keep up with the times' by adopting more of a hiphop flavor even though some of her best work came from the alternative rock genre.

I don't like it; if I had to count the times she said s**t in "Hollaback Girl" , I would run out of fingers. She needs to realize that her saying s**t every other word doesn't make her a real rapper and both sides see her for the poser she is.

I've never been a big fan of her solo work. All her solo stuff is hip-hop/pop. She does however continue to push the envelope by slightly tweaking her music just enough to be different. That is admirable.

I do miss the No Doubt days, though. I don't doubt that they could come back right now and do something amazing.

I like the new sound. As an artist she has always had a hint of hip hop because of the rhythms used in ska. She has the freedom to do whatever she wants to now. Hell she is almost as big as Madonna.

When she was with No Doubt I thought she was original and interesting, now that she's on her own she just irritates me. She could do much better. "Rich Girl" was cute but the rest has been pointless and mostly self promoting. Could live without that.
