My 1999 Saxo 1.5D belches out loads of blue smoke when I start it up after its been sitting for a few hours. What causes this? Should I be worried? The car runs perfectly otherwise.

Take it to an independent garage or even Kwik Fit or something similar and ask them for a free check up. They might point you in the right direction.

When was the last time you had the oil and filter changed? Also check oil level if you have to much in there it will smoke a lot, i would also check and or change the glow plugs if none of that works take it to professional mechanic.

Check your muffler for a leak. and buy a auto repair manual for your car to help you too.

air filter and fuel filter...also new glow plugs should be sorted then ; )

it belches out blue smoke coz its fucked mate, scrap it and get a decent car like ??????? A ROBIN RELIANT...............
