I seem to recall some in Bush's administration saying this would be a cake walk and would be over in less than a year!

I seem to recall Bush saying our troops weren't on a nation building mission.
I seem to recall Wolfowitz on Bush's behalf saying Iraqi oil assets would pay for this war.
I seem to recall Bush standing on a ship and proclaiming "Mission Accomplished". Yet were still there years later.

If Bush and his administration were Democrats you Republicans would be suffering brain drain and calling for impeachments as well!!!

When will this be OVER????

Considering that there is no such animal as an "exit strategy" except when you want to run away, then it makes no sense to talk about it. What it means is that you're planning to be defeated, and plan on a cowardly retreat. That doesn't seem like a very smart plan.

Bush does, however, have an exit strategy - victory.

It is the only strategy that should be embraced by Americans who claim to care about the troops.

They never intended for it to end. They make too much money from war, and they will do unspeakable things to keep us in war as much as they possibly can! Unfortunately, it no longer matters which party is in charge (assuming it ever did matter). The globalists are behind all the terrorist events, which are called false flag events, and they use them to scare the people into giving up their liberties, because the globalists want to rule the world, and enslave all of the people, except of course those who are on the side of the globalists, and those that the globalists exterminate. *sm*

Bush's exit strategy will occur in January of 2009 when he leaves the white house and heads for the golf course to join his father.

He won't have much interest in politics after that.

Set up a puppet democracy the US can abuse as it wishes so it can rape Iraq of all its natural resources especially the oil? Sadly he underestimated the Iraqi people and their neighbours who are kicking his bottom and the only exit strategy left is take a hike yank.

It will be over when enough Americans realise this.

based upon his tons of successful military campaigns, and his only experienced generals both quit on him because they knew it was a political war not a military one. As far as strategy is concerned Bush really isn't involved. He reads the speaches they write for him, follows the cues they give him, smiles and kisses babies, that's the pres job. You want strategy ask someone who knows; but congress and the president, they should stick to begging for campaign funds cause that's all thier good at.

What was Wilson's exit strategy in WWI?
What was FDR's exit strategy in WWII?
What was Truman's exit strategy in Korea?
What was Kennedy's exit strategy in Vietnam (and at the Bay of Pigs)?

You answer any of those questions for me and I'll happily address yours.

Never. It will never be over. Unfortunately, Bush is committing us to always being heavily present in Iraq. They're basically a new state. He refuses to give them any kind of timeline to get their act together and protect their own damn country, and he keeps asking Congress for more money and he keeps sending in more troops.

Seems to me that it's not wise to give the enemy a "heads up" about exit strategies.

Why is it that liberals think that it's a good idea to have a strategy to quit before we even go in? Will there ever be a liberal qualified to be commander in chief with a mentality like this?

Bush's strategy was to win and to stay long enough to make the win count. To be honest, establishing permenant bases in Iraq would be the best decision.

Why is it that liberal whiners cry and piss and moan and THEY'RE NOT EVEN DOING THE FIGHTING? Honestly, how are you hurt?
