Hey 2007,

The first one is. You are talking about the future, so you use a present tense for the condition and will for the result. Technically referred as the 'first conditional.'

The second one? well, simple. The auxiliary does and the verb be are mutually exclusive; they never go together.

1. is correct.

2. is an improper use of the subjunctive mood. We use the subjunctive mood when expressing doubt or saying something that is inconsistent. For example "If I were king (but I'm not)..." is using the subjunctive mood "were" rather than "was". The "if" in this sentence does not express doubt, but it does express a condition (not fine). In this instance, we have the conditional mood, not the subjunctive. They are easily confused for each other.

The first one is correct because "to be" isn't used in present simple tense like that. It changes to am/is/are according to the person you conjugate it for.
