I have a tatoo artist friend whom i was going to ask to design my wedding invitations and then going to kinkos to have them printed...any suggestions or comments on this process? Is this even a good idea?

I designed my own invitations by painting individual 5X7" watercolours and printing (on my computer) a vellum overlay with the wording on it - tied together with a ribbon. Awesome results, very affordable.

I think it's a pretty good idea, very unique. Make sure you go to a good paper store and find a nice quality paper for them to print it on. Our local paper store has many examples of how to make your own wedding invitations. Or check online somewhere. There are many cool ideas out there.

Yes I think it is a great idea. It is your wedding and it should reflect your personality. I found the following general advice useful at
