Banning a lot of things would make Britain a better place, and everyone has their own ideas as to what that would be.

If you ban Alcohol it would only serve to take it underground and then the Police would have to spend more time trying to find suppliers of alcohol than hasseling real criminals like drivers!!!

Alcohol is not the problem, the idiot drinking it that doesn't know when to stop is.

If alcohol was ever banned, i would fear for the sanity of the working class in this country. A few pints or a glass of wine whether your at home or down the pub is great stress relief. Even Mrs mudflap is bearable with a few Stella's' on board.

No but I think people should be made to take an IQ test before drinking it!!

Other countries dont have this binge drinking culture and thats because they are better educated about alcohol than we are. And they dont have alcopops and buckfast or drinking competitions in clubs (other than in the parts of spain that are taken over by british louts during the summer)

No need to be that drastic. Most things are bad if people abuse the consumption. Same as food. If one eats eggs by the dozen in one good, it's bad. But a coupe or even 3-4 a week it's good for your health. It's the people who ought to learn when to stop.

I think alcohol is in the frame. Having banned smoking and being fat, conkers, throwing snowballs, etc, the intolerant brigade are coming to get you.

Perhaps we will see the first no smoking, no drinking, no free speech, no fatty food - PUB.

No. I don't belive anything should be illegal unless it stops somone else doing somthing they want. I.e If me and a few mates go down the pub and have a few jars then i would be drunk but unless i start becoming disorderly and start stoping other people from enjoying a quiet pint, then i'm not doing anything wrong.

Not necessarily banned but it's sale restricted, so that supermarkets and corner shops can not sell it. Curb the licencing laws to those brought in, in 1916.

No, but I do think people here seem to look at it as a way to get loud and obnoxious, why cant they just drink and enjoy it for what its worth, and not get drunk, everything in moderation

No, it shouldn't, if it were people would brew their own, which would be more potent, anyway the government makes too much money of revenues, so they would never ban it,
